Otto Friderich

was baptized on
12 May 1781 in Drakenburg, District of Neinburg, Hannover, Germany,
illegitimate son of
George Johan Ernst Ludowig FREYE
and
Dorothea Elisabeth von DREBBER.[1]
While in the military, he was a Lead Gunner or Cannonier (Oberkanonier)
in the Kings Artillery.
After the military, he was a wheel maker or
Cartwright (Rademacher,
Stellmacher).
He was a Director (Vorsteher - presumably, similar to a
councilman) of Drakenburg for three years, twelve years as an alderman and
sixteen years as Bürgermeister, or Mayor.
On 24 May 1781, he
married
Sophie Marie PRANGE
from Gadesbünden.
She was born, calculated, in December 1788.
Sophie
was the village midwife.
Otto
died on 27 June 1845, at 64 years of age.
When
Sophie died, she was buried
in Drakenburg on 6 June 1857.[2]
We learn of
Otto,
from a son’s biography:
“His father
Otto Frye [sic], was born
in that country [

He was a corporal in Nienburg and died a “bad death”
on 13 October 1843.[7]
