RODEKOHR ANCESTORS

Hulda Emilie Sophia¹¹ RODEKOHR (Johann Heinrich¹⁰, Johann Friedrich Christoph⁹ RODEKOHR, Johann Christian⁸ RODECURT, Johann Carl Julius⁷, Julius Ernst⁶, Jobst Hinrich⁵, Jobst⁴, Justus³ RODECOURT, Johannes² RODECORD, Jost¹ RODEKORD) was born to Johann Heinrich RODEKOHR and Anna Marie Malinda BRACKMAN, on 15 December 1893 at Alma, Lafayette County, Missouri and was baptized on 31 December at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alma.[1] In 1904, her parents moved the family to the area of Battle Creek, Madison County, Nebraska.[2] She was confirmed in 1908 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Battle Creek.[3]

She married Conrad Carl EYL on 7 March 1915 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Battle Creek, by Pastor J. Hofmann. Their attendants were Emilie BROCKHOFF, George PRAUNER, Mary EYL and Edwin TEGELER.[4] In 1920, Carl and Hulda are farming at Highland Precinct, Madison County, with daughter, Mildred, age 3.[5] In 1930, Carl and Hulda are farming at Highland Precinct with children: Mildred, age 13; Lavon, age 8; Arvid, age 6, and a Clarance Coeppe, age 26, a farm laborer.[6]

After several months of failing health, Mary died on 31 January 1969 at Norfolk Hospital, Norfolk, Madison County, at age 75. She was buried on 3 February 1969 at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Battle Creek, Madison County, Nebraska.[7]

Carl was born 12 December 1890 in Battle Creek and died there in December of 1970.[8] He was also buried at St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery.[9]

vii Mark Douglas EHLERS was born 31 October 1960 at Sioux Rapids, Iowa; he died 13 Jun 1964 of Leukemia at Sioux Rapids, Iowa, at age 3.

iii. Arvid Carl EYL was born on 18 September 1923 at Battle Creek, Madison County, Nebraska. He married Georgia May SCHWARTZ on 4 August 1946 at Green Garden, Madison County, Nebraska.

ii. Jeanette Marie EYL was born 23 July 1950. She died at Methodist Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska, 25 October 1996. She is buried at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Battle Creek.

iii. Judith Lynn EYL was born 18 September 1952 at Battle Creek, Madison County, Nebraska
