Adelbert Zenus WHITE

Adelbert Zenus3 White (John2, William1 WHITE) was born to John WHITE and Thankful CLARK, calculated, 4 October 1846,[1] at Granger, Allegany County, New York.[2]  The 1900 Census gives his birth year as 1847,[3] however, if 1847, his sister Clarissa would have been born 10 months later, which is possible, but not probable.  In 1852, at age five, he moved with his parents to Ashbury, Northville Township, La Salle County, Illinois.[4]  In 1860 (as Albert), he is still in Ashbury,[5] and 1870 (as Adelbert) in Tampico, Whiteside County, Illinois, living with his father.[6]  In 1880, Adelbert is living alone in Tampico, five dwellings removed from his widowed stepmother, Elizabeth and half brother Edson WHITE.[7] 

Adelbert married Carrie S. PIERCE on 10 January 1882.[8]  There are several children buried in the same plot as Carrie and adelbert, and are assumed to be theirs, and will be listed below.  Carrie died on 20 February 1892 at Tampico, probably due to complications of childbirth, as their assumed daughter, Carrie T. WHITE, was born five days earlier on the 15th.   Both Carries  are buried at  Tampico Memorial Cemetery, Tampico, Illinois.[9]  

In 1900, A. Z. WHITE, a widower, is farming with his son, Walter, at Tampico Township, Whiteside County.[10]   In 1910, Adelbert Z. WHITE, widower, living in Tampico with his son, Walter E. A. WHITE, age 19.  Living next to him is a Lauren D. ROGERS.[11]   It is thought that this is the same L. D. ROGERS that adopted Adelbert’s younger brother, Henry M. (WHITE) ROGERS.  In 1920, A. Z. WHITE, retired farmer, lives with his son, Walter, at Tampico.[12]  Adelbert died  20 January 1930 and is buried at Tampico memorial Cemetery in Tampico.[13]          

Children of Adelbert Zenus2 WHITE and Carrie S. PIERCE were as follows: 

i. Daughter3 WHITE was born circa 05 May 1884.  She died soon after birth and is buried at Tampico memorial Cemetery in Tampico.[14]

ii. Infant WHITE was born circa 24 Apr 1886 and died on 24 Apr 1886 at Tampico, Whiteside County, Illinois.[15]  

iii. Anna P. WHITE was born 14 April 1888, died three days later, on the 17th, and was buried at Tampico Memorial Cemetery.[16]

iv. Walter E. A. WHITE was born 22 May 1890.  He lived with his father until Adelbert died in 1930.  Walter died 19 November 1952 and is buried at Tampico Memorial Cemetery.[17]

iv. Carrie T. WHITE was born 15 February 1892 and died 03 May 1892.  She is buried at Tampico memorial Cemetery.[18]
